After many years of use, your propeller may need an overhaul to restore it to like-new condition. The service includes cleaning, a balancing check, removal of any play between the mechanical parts and replacement of the zinc anodes. Greasing a Max Prop propeller is simple and quick, and it can be done with the boat in the water. Inject the grease through the external holes marked “grease”. Zinc anodes protect your bronze propeller from galvanic corrosion: the zinc wears away in place of the bronze. Max Prop supplies the only original anodes certified for its propellers, recognizable by their shape and the logo printed on each unit.
